
1. Prohibited secondary employment – Members are prohibited from engaging in the following secondary employment activities:
a. any employment involving the collection of accounts, debts, bad checks as a law enforcement officer;
b. working for a bail bond company;
c. Repossession of Property;
d. any employment on the premises of, or surrounding areas including parking lots, of a privately owned business where alcoholic beverages are sold or consumed as the primary income source for the business;
e. Events or private parties where alcohol is served or sold unless those holding the event/party have obtained a Special Permit issued by the City.
f. Events at or in support of university fraternity or sorority parties where alcoholic beverages are consumed.
g. Bouncer;
h. any employment which is politically oriented to the extent that it may be reasonably inferred that as a member of the Red Bank Police Department, the employee recommends, endorses, or encourages one party or candidate over another;
i. any employment that results in a conflict of interest with the stated mission and goals of this agency; or
j. any employment that would tend to reflect discredit upon the agency.
