

Prohibited Off Duty Employment:
Employees may not engage in employment that is a threat to the status and dignity of law enforcement as a professional occupation. Employment representing such a threat includes, but is not limited to:
1. Employment at establishments that promote obscenity or pornography as defined by the Arkansas Criminal Code.
2. Any employment that is in or upon the premises of a licensed tavern, bar, private club, or retail liquor store. This will also include bartending at any establishment where the primary source of revenue is from food service. Non-sworn personnel are permitted to work in positions of wait staff, servers, or kitchen staff.
3. Any employment where gambling occurs, in any form. (This does not include civic fund raising events where the proceeds are used to support legitimate charities or other nonprofit agencies).
4. Any employment where the employer is involved in a labor or civil rights dispute.
5. Any employment where the employer expects the police employee to enforce the employer's rules and regulations.
