
Prohibited Off Duty Employment:
A. Employment at establishments which dispense alcoholic beverages for on premises consumption. The exception to this restriction is when the assignment is sponsored by the city and/or approved by the Chief or their designee.
B. Employment with a private security company.
C. Employment as a private investigator.
D. Soliciting off-duty work while on duty.
E. Doing security work at a fee other than the established rates.
F. Engage in extra-duty or secondary employment that, in the opinion of the Department, would constitute a conflict of interest or that would tend to bring discredit to the Department.
