- events where alcohol is served unless approved by the Chief of Police

- any event/business involving gambling activity, adult business or where there is presence of pornographic books, videos, or DVDs

- assignments must by in the jurisdictional limits of Albemarle County unless approved by Chief of Police

- any type of bail bonding agency

- any work involving investigative work for another agency (including civil actions)

- any type of work that gives the appearance of any affiliation, membership, or allegiance to any entity

- special services during or at the site of a strike, lockout, picket, or other physical demonstration of a labor dispute

- officers will not perform any non-law enforcement duties

- officer cannot accept any tip or gratuity
